About Us

Ethically sourcing textiles and handmade bags from indigenous artisans. Your purchase matters.

We are an ethical fashion brand, specializing in handmade pieces from Mayan artisans in Guatemala. We welcome the conscious shopper who is looking to support an alternative to mass production of fashion accessories. By shopping with Grace&Leighton, you are shopping small with a California based family business, who in turn can bless and support the lives of Mayan artisans in Guatemala. So treat yourself and show off your mindful unique style to the world. Because individuality should be celebrated.

Brittany

Hey guys! My name is Brittany and I’m so excited to share with you my love for people and fashion. I am married to the greatest man in the world. Andrew and I have two children: Oliver John is 5 and Emmalyn Grace is 4. I love my family fiercely. They are my reason for living. We live on the central coast in California where we enjoy hiking, beach days, wine country, and food! It is my firm belief that if someone asks you if you want soup or salad, you say “both”. I started purchasing leather bags from Guatemala a few years ago and instantly found an appreciation and love for the quality and rich history found in each bag. When the opportunity presented itself for us to open our own shop, I instantly knew we were going to carry items from Guatemala. If I have the opportunity to support another dad, mom, wife, or husband that is trying to financially contribute to their family……THAT’S what I am going to do. We are creating partnerships in this business where humans are supporting each other. Making conscious decisions about where we purchase our items and who they come from. So, thanks for joining us, and I’m excited for you to get your first piece!

I married my best friend when I was only 18 years old. We have moved more times than I can keep track of and, with God as our guide, have built a beautiful life together. I have two little ones; Kolton Greyson is 3 and Aniston Leighton is 1. My hands are occupied but my heart is that much more full. These three humans are truly my driving purpose and my calling is to be my best for them. The desire that I feel to help others is what attracted me to the idea of co-founding Grace&Leighton. Meeting the indigenous artisans changed my life and shifted the value that I put on hand-made goods that are ethically sourced and that we pay fair trade. Above all I hope that we are able to convey the knowledge that was entrusted in us as we learned the processes of the making of our soon coming items. I am incredibly anxious and eager for you to join us on this journey!
